The Plettenberg Bay Country Club’s golf course is a popular destination for both local as well as international tourists. Main attraction is the challenging and very attractive layout built to USGA specifications. The course is a walking course, although carts are available for hire.

The site has also become popular with the local bird-watching club and is home to a large colourful bird known as the Knysna Loerie or Taurco Corythaix, which is generally found in the surrounding Knysna Forest.
In recent years the clubhouse has been upgraded and provides a great venue for special functions like prize givings, birthday parties, social gatherings and corporate meetings. The verandah overlooking the 18th may however distract from the main function as it offers great views over the course and the distant Indian Ocean.
